Following direction from central government Gravesham Borough Council changed the way in which they collect and process waste. An advertising campaign was run to help inform the public about the new methods of sorting their waste and what is permitted.
This long term campaign has been rolled out in several phases, trying to ensure that people are able to engage with the core messages, no matter where they are. The initial brief set was to create a brand language which could be widely used across print literature, outdoor advertising, exhibition materials, and even fridge magnets.
The colour palette is based upon a series soft of greens empathising the environmental nature of the scheme, coupled with a soft but accessible typeface. These elements were present throughout all materials.
A header style was created utilising a bold outline to draw people’s attention the key message. This worked very well on the literature and apparel, especially with the bright and colourful offset of the white against the green.
Additional icons and banner images were created for the Gravesham Borough Council website utilising the same colour scheme and typeface.
