Groundwork are a national volunteering charity helping to change and improve communities across the country. I worked with them to help design their annual brochure used to promote their projects.
The A4 brochure was designed to be in keeping with the branding language created for the national organisation, but freedom was given to expand and diverge from it as required. Using a rough and earthy texture overlaid onto the boundaries of the background images an unusual and eye catching design was created. Individual stories from people who had worked on Groundwork projects were then added on top, providing for a bold layout.
Each of the page headers were also custom made using a texture which was cut out of the type to add to the pages rough appearance.
